We apologize but you didnt specify what pest you are trying to eliminate in the soil. You asked this on the mosquito control kit page however you would not mix up Bifen IT in a bucket you would mix it in a sprayer to be applied to surfaces of leaves/bushes and other areas of thick foliage where mosquitoes would be harboring. If you have any areas of standing water on the property (bird bath, etc) you would put a mosquito dunk in the water to sterilize it and help prevent mosquitoes from breeding. When spraying with the Bifen I/T you would be mixing it at the rate of 0.5 oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq/ft roughly.
