Cyper TC would last in the soil for 5-7 years. Retreatment for subterranean termites can only be performed if there is clear evidence of re-infestation or disruption of the barrier due to construction, excavation, or landscaping and/or evidence of the breakdown of the termiticide barrier in the soil. For termite prevention you would not just spray the foundation of the home. It would need to be applied in a trench around the home to create a barrier for termites to go through. Cyper TC also only kills the termites that contact a treated area. A better product would be to use a nonrepellent like Termidor SC which will transfer back to the colony when the workers go through the soil and back down to the colony.
