How often do you have to reapply Demon WP Insecticide to kill infestation of carpenter ants in an oak tree?

Answer:

We normally would not recommend to use Demon WP Insecticide for carpenter ants. Although, it will kill the ants that contact it, it will not eliminate the colonies.  We generally recommend using Dominion 2L for carpenter ants in trees. This can be used directly on the tree or as a soil drench. Also, please check out our Carpenter Ant Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent carpenter ants.
