How often should I spray Bonide Systemic Insect Control for a heavy scale problem?

I have a very large Honeylocust tree with scale infestation. I sprayed once all over. How often should I reapply and when? Is there any other treatment option?

Answer:

Per the product label for Bonide Systemic Insect Control:  For hard to kill insects, such as...scales...spray 2 to 3 times, waiting 7-10 days between each application. Repeat if reinfestation occurs.

We also recommend using a systemic insecticide that is applied around the base of the tree once a year, such as Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench.
