How soon can I cut the stems/trunks on 5ft mesquite trees after spraying with a tank mix of Remedy Ultra Herbicide, Diesel & water? Application was done on August 1st and the mesquites are defoliating nicely. I want to cut the stems but do not want to prevent the mesquite from dying if translocating takes a while.

Answer:

After an application of Remedy Ultra Herbicide, a 5ft mesquite would probably take a good 3-4 weeks to kill before it can be cut down. If you sprayed on August 1st, we recommend giving it another weed or two before cutting it down but we would still recommend to spray the stump after cutting it just to be safe.
