Philip from San Antonio, Texas writes

How soon should I expect to see results when Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide is used on ball moss in trees?

I have a mix of texas Persimmon and Oaks with a large aamount of Ball Moss.

Answer:

When using Southern Ag Liquid Copper for ball moss in live oak, apply 2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Apply in the spring when ball moss is actively growing using 1.5 gallons of spray per foot of tree height. Make sure to wet ball moss tufts thoroughly. A second application may be required after 12 months. It could take weeks along with other treatment methods using a combination of continual pruning, picking and spraying as directed. Here is a great article for more details on control of ball moss.
