David from Kennesaw, Ga writes

If I spray vines with Bayer Advanced Brush Killer, would it kill surrounding trees because their roots are in the ground underneath?

The label says it kills by entering plants through the leaves, stems, and roots. I do not want to accidently kill trees with roots below the ground in the area covered by the vines I intend to kill.

Answer:

Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate would not kill trees unless you are directly spraying the leaves, stems or roots of the tree.  Care should be taken to limit applications just to the target weeds around the trees.  The label also states: For vines growing on desirable plants, cut the vine and treat as directed for stump removal. This would be the best method if you are concerned about killing the trees.
