If the tank overflowed under pressure through the top, does that indicate a replacement pump assembly is needed? Would the Chapin Pump Assembly Part #6-4634 be the correct replacement part?

Is that what happens when the pump has gone bad? I released the pressure and tried to get as much chemical back in the tank and noticed the spring had stuck upward which caused it. I have had it for 4 years and used it often.
