    Q
Can InVade Bio Drain be used in shower drains?
    A

InVade Bio Drain is safe for the drain in the shower. It will break up organic matter in the drain. However, if there is an excessive amount of hair inside the drain, you may need to use a tool (you can purchase locally) that works well for unclogging and removing hair from the drain.

    Q
How should I clean the sinks each morning after using the InVade Bio Drain?
Also, what is the dangers to humans if the sink is still contaminated with the drain cleaner? Thanks
    A

You can resume regular cleaning with soap and water 6-8  hours after InVade Bio Drain has been applied. Since it is used directly in the drain, it poses no threat to humans if used as directed.

    Q
Do drains treated with InVade Bio Drain need to be rinsed with hot water the following day?
    A

InVade Bio Drain should be applied to drains at night when not use so the gel has time to work it’s way down the drain for several hours. Additional rinsing or rinsing with hot water is not needed. Normal use the next day is fine.

This process should be repeated for 7 consectutive nights for active insect activity and then once a week for maintenance.

  • Asked by Byron from Tinley Park, Il

    Q
Will use of InVade Bio Drain contribute to a "slow" drain?
Since this product uses microbes in formulation thick enough to coat the insides of drains and to eat through scum, could this action create or contribute to a "slow" drain?
    A

InVade Bio Drain would not cause a slow drain and the microbes actually help unclog drains of organic matter that can cause a slow drain.  You would leave in the drain over night (when less used) and then rinse in the morning.

    Q
How long does the bacteria in Bio Drain live?
    A
The powerful probiotics contained in Invade Bio Drain actually digest organic matter, allowing it to eliminate odors and eat through scum and debris.  The microbe spores activate when they come in contact with their food source, which is organic debris, and will continue to be active until the food source has been depleted.

  • Asked by Alan from Exton, Pa

    Q
Will InVade Bio Drain work its way through the trap under a sink/shower/etc.?
Obviously there should be standing water in the drain traps - will the gel penetrate the water and continue down the drain or is this meant to only treat the first few inches after the drain itself. Gravity and water pressure move the water through the pipes but how would this makes its way past a p-trap or the like. Thanks!
    A

InVade Bio Drain is a thick gel that slowly coats the inside of pipes as it is applied. The micro-organisms in the drain gel naturally break down the organic buildup inside the treated drains. This is why you want to wait as long as possible before using treated drains, so you are allowing the product to work before it is washed away. Once the drain is used, then some of the gel may remain in other parts of the pipe and continue to work if there is buildup in the pipes. If you are using the recommended 4 oz of drain gel per use, then this would not be enough product to move the water out of the p-trap.

    Q
Does InVade Bio Drain work to keep the drain tap from drying out if it's not used for 4-6 months?
    A

InVade Bio Drain is not going to prevent drains from drying out due to non use. We would recommend visiting your local home improvement store to purchase the generic, flat rubber disc drain covers to help protect drains for extended periods.

    Q
Could InVade Bio Drain be used to move water out of a p-trap in a kitchen sink? If so, how much would I need to move the water through the p-trap?
    A

InVade Bio Drain can be used to dissolve organic matter and scum that builds up on the inside of drains as this is a thick gel that slowly coats the inside of pipes allowing the micro-organisms in the drain gel to naturally break down the organic buildup inside the treated drains. When first using InVade Bio Drain apply every other day for the first week and then continue to use once a week afterwards. Drains should be treated at night when sinks/drains will not be used and allow gel to work its way down the drain.  If you are using the recommended 4 oz of drain gel per use, then this would not be enough product to move the water out of the p-trap.

For deeper drain treatments, Foam Fresh Bio-Sanitation Foam would be a more effective treatment as this uses 7 different microbes that double in population every 20 minutes resulting in faster results of removing organic buildup. This product also comes with an Up-Down actuator cone spray nozzle, drain actuator nozzle, and 17.5” long, 3.3mm semi-rigid hose.

    Q
How long will just keep flies out of my drain?
    A

InVade Bio Drain is a gel that contains natural microbes to break down organic buildup in wet areas like drains. It will help to eliminate the breeding site for the drain flies but will not kill them directly.  We cannot guarantee that this product will eliminate an infestation since a key part is sanitation as well. Please take a few moments to review our Drain Fly Treatment Guide for additional tips and videos to assist you on treating flies.

    Q
    Does it kill drain flies?
How long before you see a difference in your drains?
    A

InVade Bio Drain works very well when there's a drain fly infestation but it does not include a pesticide to kill drain flies. InVade Bio Drain eats away naturally at the organic scum buildup in drains. Results can vary depending on the level of infestation. For best results, we recommend reading the Drain Fly Control Guide for further tips and information.
