    Q
Do drains treated with InVade Bio Drain need to be rinsed with hot water the following day?
    A

InVade Bio Drain should be applied to drains at night when not use so the gel has time to work it’s way down the drain for several hours. Additional rinsing or rinsing with hot water is not needed. Normal use the next day is fine.

This process should be repeated for 7 consectutive nights for active insect activity and then once a week for maintenance.

    Q
Could InVade Bio Drain be used to move water out of a p-trap in a kitchen sink? If so, how much would I need to move the water through the p-trap?
    A

InVade Bio Drain can be used to dissolve organic matter and scum that builds up on the inside of drains as this is a thick gel that slowly coats the inside of pipes allowing the micro-organisms in the drain gel to naturally break down the organic buildup inside the treated drains. When first using InVade Bio Drain apply every other day for the first week and then continue to use once a week afterwards. Drains should be treated at night when sinks/drains will not be used and allow gel to work its way down the drain.  If you are using the recommended 4 oz of drain gel per use, then this would not be enough product to move the water out of the p-trap.

For deeper drain treatments, Foam Fresh Bio-Sanitation Foam would be a more effective treatment as this uses 7 different microbes that double in population every 20 minutes resulting in faster results of removing organic buildup. This product also comes with an Up-Down actuator cone spray nozzle, drain actuator nozzle, and 17.5” long, 3.3mm semi-rigid hose.

    Q
How long does the bacteria in Bio Drain live?
    A
The powerful probiotics contained in Invade Bio Drain actually digest organic matter, allowing it to eliminate odors and eat through scum and debris.  The microbe spores activate when they come in contact with their food source, which is organic debris, and will continue to be active until the food source has been depleted.

    Q
What are sugar snakes and how does Invade Bio Drain help with them?
    A

Sugar snakes are when sugar builds up inside drain lines and feeds bacteria living in the drain. The bacteria then colonizes and grows, forming into the shape of the drain line concealing it, which resembles a snake. InVade Bio Drain helps to remove this buildup keeping the drains free and running properly.

  • Asked by Matt from Georgetown, In

    Q
Will InVade Bio Drain kill roaches in the drain?
    A

InVade Bio Drain is a gel that contains natural microbes to break down organic buildup in wet areas like drains. It is usually used to treat areas where drain flies will breed, and while sanitation is an important part of roach control, this is not something we would recommend for treating for roaches. We suggest our Roach Control Kits here which contain a roach bait gel, insect growth regulator (IGR), and residual spray to treat for this pest. Please also take a few moments to review our online Roach Treatment Guide for more tips.

    Q
Will use of InVade Bio Drain contribute to a "slow" drain?
Since this product uses microbes in formulation thick enough to coat the insides of drains and to eat through scum, could this action create or contribute to a "slow" drain?
    A

InVade Bio Drain would not cause a slow drain and the microbes actually help unclog drains of organic matter that can cause a slow drain.  You would leave in the drain over night (when less used) and then rinse in the morning.

    Q
Can I use InVade Bio Drain on wood floors?
    A

It is not recommended to apply InVade Bio Drain on wood floors. It is designed to break up organic matter in the plumbing areas. We recommend that you have the pest properly identified to be sure that the drain flies are coming through the wood floors.
