Is Advion Roach Bait Gel more effective than using Advion WDG Insecticide for roach treatments?

Answer:

For active roaches, you really want to use a combination of residual insecticide, roach bait gel and insect growth regulator for a complete treament program. Repeat treatments every 14 days are needed until you are no longer seeing roach activity.
The gel bait is designed to act as a food source that roaches will gather and take back the colony therefore provides a transfer effect throughout the colony by sharing the food aka bait. Using a residual insecticide like Advion WDG Insecticide  works through contact as roaches walk across the treated area and and then as they travel through the colony, transfers the active ingredient by touch. This leaves a residual on surfaces up to 60 days indoors and 30 days outdoors. Gel baits and residual insecticides can be used at the same time, just not in the same areas. Do not spray on top of bait placements and do not place bait placements on top of where you spray as this contaminates the bait.  Please view our Roach Control Guide for more information.
