Is Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II effective on armyworms and getting below the lawn surface?

Neighbors have discovered armyworms in their lawns. Most likely, now, in mine as well. Have noticed many birds in the yard, nocturnal animals, skunks, moles, digging for grubs. I have treated for grubs. Need to be certain I get the army worms as well.

Answer:

The active ingredient Bifenthrin in Amdro Quick Kill Lawn Insect Killer Granules II is very effective in treating for armyworms. Per the product label, apply at the rate of 1-2lbs per 1000 sq ft when insects first appear and repeat every 7 days as necessary if insect activity reappears. Following the application, granules must be watered in with 0.1 to 0.5 inch of water to activate the granules. For more information and tips, view our Armyworm Treatment Guide
