Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator ready-to-use quart bottle spray can be used as needed on carpet surfaces directly from the bottle at a rate of 1 quart per 100 square feet for severe odors. It does not specifically list any possibly damage to wool on that surface on the product label.
