Robert from Sacramento, Ca writes

Is Dominion 2L legal to sell to California residents?

I have termite tubes below hardwood floor and tubes behind refrigerator. What termiticide is best and legal for Calif? Thanks.

Answer:

Yes, Dominion 2L is legal to be sold to California residents. If they are subterranean termites, we would recommend using Termidor SC. It lasts for 10 years in the soil. You will dig a 6 by 6 inch trench around the structure of the home. You will pour 4 gallon per 10 lineal feet. Dominion 2L is a good option but only lasts for 5 years in the soil. If you are treating for drywood termites, you will have to treat the wood directly. We would recommend using Boracare. You will use the dilution of 1:1, meaning 1 gallon of Boracare with 1 gallon of hot water. You will do two coats of this on the infested wood. This should only be applied to untreated wood. We would recommend getting the specific termite identified before buying a product to use. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
