Susan from Ocala Florida writes

Is GrazonNext HL harmful to a Viburnum hedge? Sprayed below the hedge which is 8 feet with GrazonNext HL.

All my hedges are dying. I have 600 feet of Hedges and am really concerned I am going to lose them all. They have their own watering system. Is there a fertilizer I could use to help? I Have already changed the automatic waterer for 20 minutes to 2 hours. Really need some advice. Thanks

Answer:

The product label for GrazonNext HL Herbicide states:  Do not apply GrazonNext HL within the root zone of desirable trees unless injury can be tolerated.  The only thing that can negate an application is applying an activated charcoal within hours of doing so, otherwise only time will tell if the plants will recover or be completely killed.  You may also check with the manufacturer for advice, Dow can be reach at 800-992-5994
