Is ground where I applied Advion Fire Ant Bait contaminated forever?

6 months ago I used Advion Fire Ant bait around the house. Hubby is now want to put in produce garden beds in some of the areas I used the bait. Is there a half life to the bait? How many months/years do we need to wait before it is safe to plant edible plants?

Answer:

After using Advion Fire Ant Bait you should wait at least a year to plant anything edible in that area out of an abundance of caution, or replace the soil if you need to plant before than.
