Andrea from Ypsilanti, Michigan writes

is it normal to have noxious fumes if Cy-kick is used around oven?

I sprayed Cy-Kick in the crevices around my gas stove where the floor has a large gap in it and around the gap in the wall by the gas pipe. When I turned on my oven today I noticed a nasty burning smell and then when I realized it must be the Cy-kick burning off I also started to fell sick so immediately shut the oven off and opened all the windows, etc. Is this normal? Is it possible for the heat from the oven to make the Cy-kick burn just by being near it? I thought it was safe to spray around the perimeter?

Answer:

We have not heard of this type of thing happening when Cy-Kick CS is used around a stove. This product is safe to spray around the perimeters outdoors and the cracks and crevices as well as the baseboards indoors. We would recommend speaking directly to the manufacturer. Their phone number is 541-343-7600.
