David from Livonia, Michigan writes

Is it possible to control gypsy mothinfestations with application only to tree trunks?

Mature an dvery tall trees prevent reaching leaves with spray.

Answer:

Per the product label, mix 2 fl. ozs. of Thuricide per 3 gallons of water (4 tsp. per gallon) for a handsprayer or proportional amounts for a hose-end sprayer following Manufacturer’s Directions. Apply at first sign of infestation and repeat at weekly intervals when needed to maintain control. Apply to thoroughly cover all foliage surfaces of Shade Trees and Ornamentals for control.
