Is it safe to apply Avid to Orchid Buds and open flowers?

I understand Avid is safe to apply to orchids yet it is not clear if the application is safe on the buds or open flowers.

Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide should not be applied to buds or open flowers/blooms.
