Per the MSM Turf Herbicide product label on Fescue: This product may temporarily stunt tall fescue, cause it to turn yellow, or cause seedhead suppression. To minimize these symptoms, take the following precautions: • Do not use more than 4/10 ounce of MSM Turf Herbicide per acre • Use a tank mix with 2,4-D • Use the lowest specified rate for the target weeds • Use a non-ionic surfactant at 1/2 to 1 pint per 100 gallons of spray solution • Make application later in the spring after the new growth is 5 to 6 inches tall, or in the fall • Do not use a surfactant if liquid nitrogen is used as a carrier • Do not use a spray adjuvant unless it is a non-ionic surfactant
