Is Pramitol 25E absorbed into dead or dying plants?

Say 4-6" of mostly grass is dead, either via burn-down herbicide or preliminary foliar activity of Pramitol. Is Pramitol absorbed into dead, dry vegetation and tied up at least until that decays?

Answer:

Pramitol 25E works as both a post-emergent and a pre-emergent herbicide, so it will both affect existing plants and prevent new plants from growing. If there is a lot of dying vegetation in an area where you want to apply Pramitol, be sure to use plenty of water to carry the active ingredient into the soil. Pramitol will not be absorbed into plants that are already dead or dying from other herbicides. Pramitol will effectively prevent new plant growth for up to 12 months when applied according to the product label. Pramitol will not kill existing woody vegetation. If you have further questions, you may reach our Customer Service at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST.
