Is Quinclorac 75 DF effective killing & preventing grass burrs?

Answer:

No, Quinclorac 75 DF Herbicide is not labeled for grassburs, lawn burweed or sandbur.  There are many pre-emergents for this weed but unfortunately not many post-emergents. Image Kills Nutsedge or Celsius WG are post emergents labeled for sandbur in warm season turfgrass. This is not labeled for cool season turfgrass.  We recommend using a pre-emergent for field sandbur, such as Pendulum 2G or Dimension 2EW in early spring and late fall.
