I have used Lontrel in the past to kill thistle in my garden beds. (It was recommended to me by a friend who owns a landscaping business.) I need to kill thistle again, but the cost of Lontrel is outrageous. Is there a less expensive alternative that would be suitable for my purposes?
Unfortunately, there is no similar product we are aware of like Lontrel that will kill thistle without harming/damaging your garden beds. You may manually hand pull or spot treat using a non selective herbicide such as Prime Source Surmise Pro Herbicide, but you have to be very careful and avoid any contact with the desirable plants.
