JT Eaton JAWZ Rat and Chipmunk Trap (410) is an ideal solution to your rodent and chipmunk control problem. This rat trap is constructed from durable plastic and it is very effective on eliminating these pests. It has a unique design that helps catch rodents without breaking its skin. This will allow you to have an easy cleanup and lets you reuse the trap. It features a high tension spring with added strength that helps get rid of larger rats and chipmunks. This trap works best with liquid or solid bait.
JT Eaton JAWZ Rat and Chipmunk Trap is very easy to setup; simply bait through the top, press the button with your hand or foot, and you will hear click when it is set. A red display sign also indicates that the trap is set correctly. Once your target critter is captured, just press down the same bar you used to set it and dispose it properly.

Darn chipmunks ate the roots off my garden plants and were running all around my home. Tried reg mousetraps but chipmunks ate bait. Got two of the 410 traps. Man they worked great. Got 14 chipmunks and counting. Simple to place bait and to make them ready.

I had a plastic trap that worked well and it had a rust proof spring so I could use it outside. It worked for years, until I caught a chipmunk and something carried it and the trap off together during the night. I was going to empty it the next morning.
The manufacturer does not claim that the JT Eaton JAWZ Rat trap has a rust-proof spring, but it will be rust-resistant. If snap traps like this one are used outdoors, then it should be used inside a bait station such as the JT Eaton Strongbox. You could also use the EZ Snap Rat Bait Station, which is a station that comes with a reusable snap trap inside it.

I'm planning on using traps in Rat bait stations, with weekly checks, to control rodents around my home.
No, the Protecta Rat Bait Station will not hold the JT Eaton Jawz but it can hold a Trapper T-Rex Rat snap trap. Normally you put one at each corner of a home, and if treating a commercial building, you would also want one about every 50 feet along the side of the building and near any doors.
