You generally want to apply the Martins IGR when it will not rain for at least 24 hours after application. This insures that the product has enough time to dry and adhere to the surface it has been applied to. It should not be applied to containerized plants or near any edible vegetation.
Yes, Martins IGR can be sprayed in areas where fleas may harbor, such as carpets, furniture, pet sleeping areas and rugs as long as you are following the instructions on the product label, however, this product is designed to stop the fleas' reproductive cycles. An IGR will not actually kill the fleas, so you would still want to use an insecticide labeled for this area.
Instead of using this product, you may use a product such as PT Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Aerosol which is an insecticide and IGR together in one product. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. Also, please take a moment to review our How to Get Rid of Fleas Guide for more information and helpful tips on eradicating this pest.
