    What is the mix ratio of Martins Permethrin 10% for tick control?
    How long will control last
    A

    Per the product label, thoroughly wet down grass a few hours prior to applying Martins Permethrin 10%. Home lawns should be not more than 3 inches tall at the time of application. For ants, crickets, and grasshoppers use 1/2 oz per 3 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For other listed insects like ticks, use 1.5 oz in 10 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For heavy infestations repeat application in 2 weeks.  Martins Permethrin 10% controls horn flies, face flies, lice and ticks, with a residual activity lasting up to 28 days.

    Can poultry graze on grass sprayed with Martins Permethrin 10% after it has dried?
    A

    Although Martins Permethrin 10% is a livestock and premise spray, it should not be applied to grazing areas.

    The label says Active ingredient is Permethrin 10%. What are the other ingredients?

    Does Martins Permethrin 10% kill carpet beetles?

    Can Martins Permethrin 10% used on cattle and pigs?
    If so what is the mix ratio.

    Martins Permethrin 10% would be mixed with water only and applied at the following rates and instructions on cattle:

    Dilute 8 ozs. in 50 gals. water 
    Dilute 1 pt in 100 gals. water 
    Dilute 1 qt. in 200 gals. water 
    Dilute 2 ozs. in 1 gal. water 
    Dilute 1 pt. in 8 gals. water 

    Spray to thoroughly cover entire animal. For lice or mites a second treatment is recommended 14-21 days later. Spray lactating dairy cows only after milking is completed. SPOT TREATMENT - LOW PRESSURE SPRAY Apply 1/2 oz. per ear or 2-4 oz. on face or 12-16 oz. along the backline.

    The manufacturer recommends that you do not apply Martins Permethrin 10% to pigs until they are 12 weeks old at the following rates:

    Dilute 8 ozs. in 25 gals. of water

    Dilute 1 pt. in 50 gals. of water

    Dilute 1 qt. in 100 gals. of water 

    Spray, dip or sponge to apply 1 pint per pig, especially around ears. Please refer to the product Label  for complete application instructions.

    Can I spray Permethrin 10% in a whelping house that still has 7 week old pups sleeping in it to control flies?
    Will the pups need to stay out of the whelping house for an extended amount of time?

    When applying Martins Permethrin 10%, pets will need to be kept out of the area during application and until dry, usually a couple of hours.

    Can Martins Permethrin 10? used on patio furniture for mosquito control?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10%  should not be applied to patio furniture for mosquitoes. Spray outside surfaces of screens, doors, window frames, and treat surfaces around light fixtures on porches, in garages, around shrubbery, and other places where these insects alight or congregate.

    Can I apply Martins Permethrin 10% to my cattle pasture for flies?
    A

    No, Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for use where animals would graze.  The only insecticide we carry that can be used in grazing areas is the all natural Essentria All Purpose.

    Can I use Martins Permethrin 10% on my dogs and if so at what rate?

    Martins Permethrin 10% may be used to treat dogs over 12 weeks of age for fleas, ticks, mange, and lice (do NOT apply permethrin products on cats). Per the product label, you should mix 8 oz. in 12.5 gallons of water, which would break down to 0.64 ounces per 1 gallon of water. 

    "Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying. Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product ondebilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals on medication."

    Can Martins Permethrin 10?applied to a dog?
    Had a vet apply this as a topical down the dogs back. The vet has now passed away and I'm wondering if it has to be diluted to do this.

    What is the mix rate of Martins Permethrin 10% per gallon in a pump sprayer to use in a vegetable garden?

    Can I use Martins Permethrin 10% inside my house and on my dogs? I also have a cat.

    Yes, Martins Permethrin 10% can be applied indoors to cracks and crevices, baseboards and infested areas. You are also able to apply this product to dogs.

    Per the product label:

    Dilute 8 ozs. in 12.5 gals. of water

    Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying.
    Allow the animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or
    toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks.
    Consult a veterinarian before using this product on
    debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals on medication.

    This product is not labeled for use on cats, but it also will not harm cats if they are kept out of the treated area until the area has dried completely.

    Does Martins Permethrin 10% get rid of animal mites and can it be sprayed on anything?

    Martin's Permethrin 10% is labeled for certain types of mites on animals.  We would recommend contacting your vet for advice on identifying the specific mite you are treating for.  It can be to the following listed areas: 

    Indoor and Outdoor: Lawns, Shrubs, Cattle Barns, Swine Houses, Milk Rooms, Kennels, Poultry Houses, Horse Barns, Dairies, Milking Parlors, Feed Lots, Stables and others 

    Homes, Beverage Plants, Canneries, Flour Mills, Food Processing Plants, Granaries, Hospitals, Hotels, Kennels, Meat Packing Plants, Office Buildings, Restaurants, Schools, Supermarkets, Warehouses and others 

    Use on Large Animals: Cattle, including lactating Dairy Cows, Horses, Swine, Poultry, Sheep and Dogs

    Can I spray Martins Permethrin 10% in my car to get rid of scabies mites?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to treat scabies. Scabies mites live only on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. We suggest visiting your doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies.
