    Q
I live in a dengue mosquito area and want to coat my window screens with .5% mix. Can I paint it on?

  • Asked by Ong from Singapore
    03/14/2021
    Q
Is Martins Permethrin 10?fective for booklice and does it kill on contact or residual?
    A

The best way to control booklice is by lowering the humidity in the infested areas which in turn will help eliminate the mold and fungus these insects need to survive. Infested furniture and carpeting should be thoroughly steam cleaned and vacuumed. You can spray your furniture with Sterifab to get rid of any lingering insects. Cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames, window frames and other harborage areas can safely be treated with Cy-Kick Aerosol. You can also follow up with a dusting of Cimexa Dust to help eliminate these pests in carpet and in cracks and crevices around the home.  You cannot spray anything on books so for those we recommend you find a way to heat treat them with a device like the Packtite or you can seal them loosely into bins with Nuvan Prostrips.

  • Asked by Rob from Michigan
    04/23/2021
    Q
Can I mix Martins Permethrin 10% and Roundup together to spray a field?
    A

Martins Permethrin 10% does not advise or mention tank mixing on the product label therefore we would recommend doing a small compatibility test in a glass jar first to see if these two products are compatible. The product label for Roundup QuickPro gives instructions for tank mixing on page 2 in Section 6.1 and advises the same compatibility test be done before mixing in a larger tank quantity.

    Q
Will it hurt anything to mix Martins Permethrin 10% too strong
I want to kill ticks in and around my house, outside. my question is if my calculations are a little off, is that a problem
    A

You should only mix Martins Permethrin 10% according to the rates listed on the product label.  Appling products higher than labeled rates does not make the product work any better and can actually have a negative effect where insects will avoid it due to be too repellent and the product cannot do their job of killing them.
