Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to treat scabies. Scabies mites live only on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. We suggest visiting your doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies.
Martins Permethrin 10% can be diluted with water only, not with oil, per the product label. Please let us know what pest you are targeting, where you are treating, and what kind of equipment you are using so that we can recommend an alternative product, if needed.
Martin's Permethrin 10% is not labeled for bedbugs and is not labeled for mites on dogs or humans and cannot be recommended or used for this issue. It is labeled for mites and fogging in poultry houses, swine houses, cattle and horse barns, etc., but not in residential areas.

When using Martins Permethrin 10% for treating cattle you will need to dilute 8 ounces of the product in 50 gallons of water (or 1 pt in 100 gals. water or 1 qt in 200 gals) and apply to cattle by spraying them with the mixed solution thouroughly covering the entire animal. A second treatment can be made after 14-21 days from the first application. Also refer to the product labeling before making any application.
We recommend bathing the dog first and then applying Martins Permethrin 10%. You will use 8 fl. oz. per 12.5 gallons of water for dipping for fleas.
Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to be used on fruit trees so would not be recommended. Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate would be a better option.
Martins Permethrin 10% can be sprayed on cattle as directed on the product label.
Diluted Martins Permethrin 10% should be used or discarded within 24 hours per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for bagworms so would not be recommended. There is the Permethrin SFR that is labeled for them as a better option.
Martins Permethrin 10% is labeled for spiders and for use indoors when used as directed on the product label.
Martins Permethrin 10% may be used to treat dogs over 12 weeks of age for fleas, ticks, mange, and lice (do NOT apply permethrin products on cats). Per the product label, you should mix 8 oz. in 12.5 gallons of water, which would break down to 0.64 ounces per 1 gallon of water.
"Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying. Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals on medication."
Martins Permethrin 10% may kill termites that come in contact with it, but will not completely take care of the termite problem. Please see our Termite control page. for information on how to appropriately treat an active termite infestation and the best products to do it.
Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for bed bugs. Martins Permethrin 10% is safe for everyone including children when used according to the product label. You do want to keep everyone out of the areas when being treated and until areas have completely dried.
Martins Permethrin 10% is toxic to bees if they land on the treated area while wet or after it has dried. You should not apply this product in areas where bees or other pollinators are actively foraging.
Martins IGR (Nylar 1.3%) is NOT labeled to be used on pets.
