  • Asked by Flient from Robeline, La
    09/05/2019
    Q
Can you use Martins Permethrin 13.3 % in your house to spray for roaches and if so how is it mixed?
    A

While Martin's Permethrin 13.3% is labeled to control roaches, it is not the best to use since it only kills those that contact a treated area.  You can use it outside around the perimeter to help with killing any trying to get in, but we do not generally recommend it for effective roach control indoors.  Keep in mind that roaches are a difficult pest to treat and usually the use of more than one type of product is necessary to completely eradicate them.  Please take a look at our Roach Control Guide for more information.   We would recommend one of our roach control kits for best control if you have a roach infestation inside.

  • Asked by Karl from Cheshire, Ct

    Q
Can I mix Martin's Permethrin 13.3% and Talstar P together?
    A

Martin's Permethrin 13.3% and Talstar P should not be mixed together.  Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas, prolonging the infestation.  If you would like to give us more information on what type of pest(s) you need to treat, we can recommend which product would be best for your needs.

  • Asked by Cally from Orrick

    Q
Is Martin's Permethrin 13.3% the synthetic version?
Also I see a reviewer didn't have results using it outside for mosquitoes. The description does not specify which pests can be killed outdoors and works for 4 wks on and which pests are only killed indoors so can you specify which pests will be killed outdoors?
    A

Martin's Permethrin 13.3% is a synthetic pyrethyroid product that is only labeled for mosquito control indoors and in barn areas.  If you look on page 8 & 9 of the manufacturers label it states which pests it will treat for on the outside of a building.

If you are looking for mosquito control we would recommend using a product such as Talstar P.  Please read our mosquito guide for more information on controlling those pests.
