HOW TO APPLY
Determine the area of lawn you want to treat by measuring the width and length in feet. Multiply the width by the length to determine the area in square feet. For areas less than 2,500 square feet, only one ampule (0.06 fl. oz) (1.8 ml) is needed. For areas greater than 2,500 square feet, two ampules (0.12 fl. oz) (3.6 ml) will be needed for proper treatment.
Lawn size = Width x Length
2,500 sq. ft = 50 feet x 50 feet
5,000 sq. ft = 100 feet x 50 feet

Adjustable Rate Hose-End Sprayer
TopShot Weed Killer for Lawns can be used in adjustable rate ready-to-spray hose-end sprayers that have at least a 16 ounce capacity. For proper coverage, apply enough product through the sprayer to wet the top of the lawn. Do not over-saturate, or attempt to water the roots of the weeds. Simply wet the top of the lawn, and let TopShot Weed Killer for Lawns do the work. When connecting any chemical dispensing device to your home water supply make sure that the sprayer has a built in back flow preventer or make sure there is a back flow preventer on your faucet.

Slow but Good
By Richard on 08/25/2016
Sprayed just over a week ago with temps in the mid 90s and weeds are just now showing signs of distress. Good for me since that gives time for the grass to grow into the dead weed patches. Used a 2 gallon pump up sprayer and went lightly to cover a 60 x 40 area. Centipede turf was not harmed.

The manufacturer recommends it would be best if you apply the Martin's TopShot Weed Killer a day before rain is expected. Most of the time 1 hour is plenty long enough for the solution to dry, depending on the weather conditions.

Does this mean not to use when the max temperature of the day is going to be above 90 degrees for the day like in the afternoon or does it mean to wake up early in the morning before the temperature goes above 90 and apply it while the temperature is still in the 80's......Houston weather the only time in the summer would be early morning of late evening for an application if this is the case. Please advise
The ?Martin's TopShot Weed Killer label does not specifically state a temperature in which this product should be used. However, it is recommended that you use the Martin's TopShot Weed Killer? when the temperatures are below 90 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be applied in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are not as high. You do not want to apply during the heat of the day to prevent potential damage.
