May I use Hi -Yield Garden, Pet, and Livestock Dust on Knock-out roses for tent caterpillars? Will it harm roses?

Fuzzy green caterpillars with marking on the body, are on my knock-out roses.

Answer:

Hi-Yield Garden, Pet, and Livestock Dust should not be applied directly on roses and it is not labeled for treatment of tent caterpillars.We would recommend avoiding spraying the flowers themselves, or you could choose a product that is specifically labeled for use on roses and other flowers. Bonide Systemic Insect Control would be a good choice for long-term systemic control, and Hi-Yield Thuricide Concentrate is a great choice for contact kill.
