    Can Medina Orange Oil be used on leather furniture to discourage cat clawing?

    Medina Orange Oil is not a product labeled to be used as a deterrant for cats nor to stop them from clawing furniture.

    Can I use Medina Orange Oil on laminate floors?
    A

    The Medina Orange Oil does not specify whether or not it can be used on laminate floors. It does however say you can use as a cleaning solution. Please contact Medina Agriculture Products for more detailed application instructions at 830-426-3011.

    How to specifically use the Medina Orange Oil for ants, etc?
    A

    Medina Orange Oil is not a pesticide nor is it labeled for any specific insects. While it may slightly deter some insects and pests such as fire ants, it will only kill those insects that are sprayed directly during application.

    Per the label instructions:

     Foliar Solution: mix 2 oz. per gallon of water 
    Soil Drench: mix 4 oz. per gallon of water 
    Cleaning Solution: mix 2 oz. per gallon of water

    We have other all natural products that are labled for insect control like Essentria IC3 and EcoVia EC which are concentrated solutions.

    Does Medina Orange Oil repel skunks?
    A

    Medina Orange Oil is not an animal repellent, it is only labeled to be used in a foliar solutions, soil drenches, and cleaning solutions.   It is only going to deter some insect pests such as fire ants and will only kill those insects that are sprayed directly during application.

    Medina Orange Oil is not a pesticide nor is it labeled for any specific insects.     Will Medina Orange Oil deter birds from roosting on ledges at night?
    A

    Medina Orange Oil is a natural and biodegradable product made from the oils extracted from orange peels and has been found to naturally deter some insect pests, such as fire ants however it is not labeled to be a bird deterent. You may consider Bird Barrier Optical Gel as an alternative option, which is specifically designed to keep off all bird species from structures and buildings to prevent them from roosting and damaging your property.

    Is Medina Orange Oil used for termites?
    A

    Medina Orange Oil is not recommended to treat termites. Orange oil is said to have repellant tenancies, but will not be a good choice to eradicate termites. It is for other uses including foliar solutions, soil drenches, and cleaning solutions. Please visit our Termite control page. Please identify what type of termite you are treating for and then you will be able to better proceed to application needed.
