    Q
    Why is Boracare w/mold care $117.95 VS Boracare @ $77.45 plus Mold Clean @ $23.50 or $100.96?
    A
Comparing Boracare with MoldCare to Boracare and Mold Clean is comparing apples to oranges. Mold Clean is only going to remove the stain from mold, it does not kill mold or prevent mold. Mold Clean is supposed to be used in addition to the Boracare with Moldcare to remove unsightly mold and mildew stains. Boracare by itself does not kill or prevent mold.

Shouldn't I treat the mold first then clean it? Thanks.
    A
According to Nisus, the manufacturer of both Bora-Care with Mold Care and Mold Clean you should apply the Mold Clean first to get rid of the mold stains then the Bora-Care with Mold Care.

    Q
How should I use Mold Clean in my crawl space?
I have mold in a crawl space. I plan to use Bora-Care with Mold-Care to kill it but would like to use Mold-Clean to remove the black stains. The directions state that you should rinse the Mold-Care with a high pressure stream. That is not feasible in a crawl space or attic. Any suggestions?
    A
For best results the label for Mold-Clean recommends using a high pressure stream but you are right, it is not feasible to do this in a crawl space or attic space.  We would recommend wetting the stained area with water, then spray the Mold-Clean on the area and let sit for 10 minutes.  Do not allow the product to dry, keep wet with water in a spray bottle if necessary.  Then after the Mold-Clean has sat on the wood for 10 minutes, take a scrub brush and a bucket of water and scrub the stained area using a liberal amount of water.  This should help get the wood pretty close to the same effect of using a high pressure stream.

    Q
Can I use Mold-Clean to clean shower trays and bath tubs? Will it be safe?
    A
Mold-Clean is not labeled to treat indoors in household fixtures like showers and tubs.  It is intended to remove mold stains on wood and concrete.  You should use a household bleach cleaner for mold in tubs and showers.

    Q
Can I apply Mold-Clean in my attic using a fogger?
    A

Mold-Clean cannot be applied with a fogger and would need to be washed off surfaces after application.  We would recommend wetting the stained area(s) with water, then spraying the Mold-Clean and let sit for 10 minutes.  Do not allow the product to dry (keep wet with water in a spray bottle if necessary).  After the Mold-Clean has sat on the wood for 10 minutes, take a scrub brush and a bucket of water and scrub the stained areas using a liberal amount of water.  This should help get the wood pretty close to the same effect of using a high pressure stream.

    Q
Will Mold-Clean remove black stains from our fiberglass shingled roof?
Please recommend a product that will remove dark algae or mold stains from our roof.
    A
Mold Clean should be fine on your fiberglass shingled roof. We would recommend only doing a small area first before doing the whole roof to make sure that you are satisfied with the results. Also, please be aware that Mold Clean will only remove stains and will not kill the mold spores. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Since Boracare with Mold Care kills existing mold and prevents new growth
Since Boracare with Mold Care kills existing mold and prevents new growth, do you have to clean it with Mold-Care to remove stains since it is a crawl space and out of sight?
    A
It is up to your discretion if you would like to remove the actual stains from the mold and fungus since the wood is out of sight.  You should apply Mold-Clean before applying the BoraCare with Mold-Care if you choose to do so.

    Q
What's the difference between Mold-Clean and Household bleach?
    A

Mold Clean contains special wetting agents and detergents to help the active ingredient penetrate deep into the wood to remove stains and to brighten the wood. This will have a much more complete effect on the wood than something like bleach alone.
