Applied to control poa anna. Saw some minor yellowing after 2 weeks. Between weeks 3 and 4, everything is showing effects. I had over half of my 1 gallon mix left over. I added a tiny bit of baking soda to make the solution neutral-alkaline and stored it in frig to apply again after 4 weeks. I'll see how that works.

Killing the Poa Annua year after year

This is my 2nd year using this stuff and it continues to be about the only thing that kills poa annua. I had much less poa annua this year thanks to being more vigilant about pre-emergent but this gets rid of any that did make it through. It takes several days to a week for you to notice it is working but it works quite well.

Negate 37WG works great on Poa Annua. I applied it and it rained within 2 1/2 hours of application. I did not have to re-apply even though the label states it needs 4 hours to dry. The Poa began yellowing within a week or so. Now 3 weeks later the Poa is mostly dead and being overtaken by my hybrid bermuda grass.

I am in the process of reviving the bermudagrass lawn at a home we purchased a few years ago. This product did a fantastic job of knocking out the poa I could see, but even smoked baby poa I couldn't see that was blended into the dormant turf. I scalped the dead grass tops before the application so the spray droplets could more easily get to the poa. Be patient if you apply in cool weather. It took almost 3 weeks for it to do its job due to daytime temps only reaching the lower 60's and lows into the mid 30's. After a few days with temperatures reaching the upper 70 I began to see very noticeable yellowing of the poa.

I had several sections in my lawn that were covered with the Poa Annua weed. I knew about the weed from my internet research. The weed was growing fast despite my Bermuda grass being dormant. I mixed Negate 37WG with a surfactant and sprayed it on the weed. I started noticing changes on the weed as it started changing color from dark green to yellow after several days. I recommend Negate 37WG for anyone having this weed in their lawn!!

I could never find anything that could effectively get rid of Poa. I tried pulling it by hand and other herbicides. It would slow it down but it would come back even worse. Using Negate has effectively eliminated my Poa problem. I use this in combination with Speedzone and Prodiamine for a complete herbicide and pre-emergent combination.

This is the second year I have used Negate to address Poa. It targets the Poa with some yellowing within days, and completely brown within 1-2 weeks. I see no noticeable impact on my Zoysia. I need to apply it to 1000-4000 square feet at a time. And this little bottle is potent stuff. I struggle to measure 1 to 4 grams of the granules precisely, but doing so makes this an affordable and very effective solution for my Poa. For me, this 42 gram bottle will last years.

Recent home purchases and yard needed lots of help! Noticed the poa dying off in 7days and 2 1/2 weeks later it's all brown and hopefully the pre- emergent will do it's job! Bought another bottle to have for next year. Mixed up whole bottle in 1 gal of water then mixed 3 oz per gal for spot treatment.
