    Can I use Nuvan ProStrips for my Toyota with my stuff in trunk and how long?
    The pest man has sprayed my apt once transport and micro dust. Do I pest strip my tv's and small laptop that were left out?

    Nuvan ProStrips should only be used in areas where individuals are not going to be present for extended periods of time. If the car is not currently in use, the strips can be used there. You can place the items that you would like to treat in a sealed plastic bag with the strips and leave all the items in there until the treatments done by the pest control operators have been done completely.

    Nuvan ProStrips are labeled for use in vehicles, and as long as you follow the Nuvan product label they should work very well for your use.

    Can I leave clothes in a closet that is being treated with Nuvan ProStrips? I am treating for moths.

    It is recommended that you leave items you are treating in the closet while using Nuvan ProStrips.  Be sure you can tightly seal off the closet so as not to allow the vapors to escape.

    Can I use Nuvan ProStrips to treat a 1 bedroom apartment?
    A

    We do not recommend applying Nuvan ProStrips out in the open or in rooms that will be occupied.  Nuvan Prostrips should only be used to treat items in small confined areas such as storage boxes, closets, or cabinets that are not in regular use, or in sealed bags.

    Are Nuvan Prostrips harmful?
    I put my laptop in a bin and sealed it then i put it in two bags with the strips. We don't have a lot of space so I left it outside in the living room. Will it harm us and my pets?

    As long as the Nuvan ProStrips are sealed in a bag and not just sitting out in open living space, they are safe.

    Can I use Nuvan Strips to eliminate bedbugs in my packed luggage?
    I don't want to bring bed bugs home and it was suggested to put suit cases in a large plastic bag with nuvan prostrips after trips. My question is, will that work and when I go to use my suit case again, will the vapors be absorbed into the suit case and hence in the clothes I will be putting in there. I don't want the vapors to get onto my clothes and then onto me.

    You would need to remove the clothing and throw it right in the wash and then you could put the suitcase in a sealed bag with a Nuvan Pro Strip. The bag would need to stay sealed for 3-4 weeks for best results.

    Is it safe to sleep in my room if I am using Nuvan ProStrips in the closet?
    If I have one nuvan strip in my closet and put towels under the closet door to trap the vapor in my closet, would it be okay to sleep in my room?

    Nuvan ProStrips can be placed in a closet, however the closet would have to remain closed for at least 2 weeks.  If you will be opening the closet then it will not work because the vapor will constantly escape.  You would be better off placing the items in your closet you would like to treat in a plastic container or bag and placing the strip inside also, and leave it unopened for 2 weeks.

    To kill bed bugs and their eggs is it better to bag your items with a Nuvan ProStrip inside and put the bag in the sun?

    Nuvan Prostrips will work if they are placed in a sealed bag or other container and left in that sealed container for up to 2 weeks.  It is not necessary to place the container in the sun.

    Can Nuvan ProStrips treat cooking appliances or sealed food?
    I want to treat all my cooking appliances (rice cooker, blender, etc) and sealed bags of food (such as bagged rice, beans, etc) just in case, and am wondering if nuvan strips are safe to treat these items if I put them in a sealed plastic container with the strip. Thank you so much!

    I placed NuVan ProStrips in a closet. The closet is duck tapped shut, and has not been opened and will not be opened for another week. The closet has 2 tvs a dresser and a few other items. Will this work effectively?

    NuVan ProStrips do work in confined areas like small closets. You can leave them in there for 2 weeks to four months for the listed pests. Please let us know if you need anything else.

    How long should a NuVan ProStrip remain in an closet to eradicate any remaining clothes moths or eggs?
    The closet will be taped off, I also want to ensure its safe to sleep in the room with the closet being treated while it's taped off?

    Nuvan ProStrips are labeled to be effective from 2 weeks to 4 months in a closet for insect control. They are labeled for moths not specifically clothes moths. You want to allow the vapors in an enclosed area to build up to a level that will be lethal to the insects that your are trying to eliminate. Opening and closing the doors to these enclosed spaces may result in poor efficacy. It is best to make sure things are loosely packed into the areas to insure that the vapors can adequately circulate through the items that need to be treated.     How do you properly use the Nuvan Prostrips in a closet?
    I've been using the strips to treat sealed containers, but I've seen mentions of using them for closets. What is the proper way to use the strips in a closet? Do I need to attempt to seal it in some way to make it more air tight or simply shut the door? This particular closet would be in a spare room rarely ever used.

    Per the label it states to remove the strip from the sealed bag and hang or stand on wardrobe or closet rail,ensuring,that strip does not contact clothes or fabrics and that air can circulate around the strip. Use one 16 gram strip to treat 100 to 200 cubic feet for up to four months. If more than one is required, distribute them within the space equally. Keep the space closed. Do not use more than the number of strips recommended for the space to be treated.

    Can you place the Nuvan ProStrips in a 10 x 10 storage locker? How long would they need to be in there? And how many do you suggest?

    Nuvan Prostrips can be applied in a storage area and each strip will treat up to 100-200 cubic feet. They can be used for about 2 weeks to 4 months depending on the targeted insect.

    So I misread label directions and used Nuvan Strips in my init.
    I've vacated it for 72 hours. I've got box fans rented to air it out.. 9 65 gram strips in 1025 square feet plus some of the smaller ones for closets. all the windows and doors are on one side Other than the door to the common hallway which I don't want to open much How long do I need to air out my unit before I can sleep there? Will 8 hours be enough?

    With Nuvan Pro Strips, you need to make sure that the "bad" air is leaving out of the room and there is clean air coming in. For example, if there are two windows in the room, place a fan in one window so the air that has the Nuvan Pro Strips vapor in it, flows out. Also, open the second window so that clean in can come in. There will be areas of the room where there is "dead" air so make sure to put another fan inside the room in the opposite corner so that air circulates. It really depends on how large the room is about how long you should stay out of it. For more information on the Nuvan strips you should contact the manufacturer directly at 888-462-6822.

    Furniture wrapped in Nuvan ProStrips, is 48 hours not enough?
    I was reading the brochure and I thought it said 48 hours? I have wrapped my leather furniture in 2ml plastic.. and now I am reading it should be left for 2-4 weeks for this to be effective?

    It is recommended to leave the wrapped item sealed with the Nuvan ProStrips for at least 2 weeks. Be sure that the furniture is tightly sealed.

    Can Nuvan strips be used in a closet of a bedroom that is lived in?

    Yes, you can use Nuvan ProStrips in a closet as long as it is not a living space and the closet has a door that can be kept closed. You cannot use Nuvan ProStrips in open living areas such as a bedroom.

    Do I need to duct tape storage containers when using Nuvan ProStrips?
    We are planning to use Nuvan ProStrips in all of the plastic storage containers we are moving our toys, books, collectables, etc. to as we prepare for a bedbug treatment by an exterminator. Do we need to duct tape the bins around the edges - the lids snap tight but, as with all plastic totes, there is a tiny gap between the lid and tub around the sides. Thank you!

    Yes, you can tape the storage containers when using Nuvan Strips. However if you get a container that locks or seals well, it is not necessary.

    Are the Nuvan strips sold individually? I only see the 12 pack which I don't need that many.

    No, Nuvan Prostrips are only sold in packs of 12. There is a shelf life of one year if they are stored properly. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Can we use several Nuvan strips in a moving truck to kill bed bugs on a cross country move?
    We are moving from FL to TX which will be a 2 day drive & our sofa is infested. We will be leaving mattresses behind because we don't want to bring the bed bugs with us, but we just bought our sofa a year ago & hope to save it. The infestation is mostly in the sofa and we've seen a few in our son's room (leaving his mattress). With the move we don't have the money to treat the house before we go so we were wondering if we can pack all our belongings in a moving truck & use several Nuvan strips in there during the trip. Would that be enough exposure to kill them and would it even be safe to drive in the front of the moving truck?

    No, we would not recommend using Nuvan Pro Strips in a vehicle or moving truck that will you and the individuals in your family will come in direct contact with. A  better option would be to use something like SteriFab on the furniture and in the home once you get to your destination.
