    Q
Is there a more cost efficient product other than Nyguard as an IGR?
It takes 15-20 gallons to treat around the farm every three (3) weeks. At .4 mL per gallon of water, it would take 60-80 mL. This would cost between $250.00-$350.00 just for the IGR.
    A
Nyguard would actually be your most cost efficient product as it only needs to be applied once every 5 months outdoors. It has the longest residual outdoors to sunlight and rain over all other IGR's which only hold up about 14 days.

    Q
How much NyGuard+Permethrin SFR per tank when using a Chaplin #6005 hose end sprayer?
Not sure how big the tank is on the sprayer. Haven't got it yet but want to use the products together in one outdoor application.
    A
You should plan to use 1 2/3 oz of Permethrin SFR per gallon of water. You will need to add 3ml of NyGuard per gallon of mixture. The solution should be sprayed once every two weeks and a minmum of two treatments cycles.

    Q
What is the shelf life of Nyguard IGR if opened, but still in its original container?
Also I see it says it will last up to seven months indoors but how long will it last outside in direct sunlight and rain. I currently do not have a problem I will use it as a preventative with Talstar. I was thinking 12ml per gallon ever three months. Thank you.
    A

Nyguard IGR has a 3-5 year shelf life as long as it is stored at room temperatures. Nyguard IGR can be applied one a month outside. It is only photostable up to 14 days outside and can last up to 30-60 days in the soil depending on soil conditions and weather.

    Q
Trying to kill fleas in a large yard 1.5 Acre.
I have been trying to kill fleas in my customers yard for a year now. I have use regular Talstar and now twice used the new stronger version. I have also put down granular Bifen down as well. It takes about 200 gallons to spray his yard. Any suggestions?
    A
Talstar is a great product to control fleas outdoors. It sounds though, that you are missing one key component. The Insect growth regulator to stop the reproduction cycle. We would recommend to mix Nyguard in the with the Talstar and water.

    Q
Is Nyguard better or just more concentrated than Archer IGR? I see they have the same active ingredient.
Which, in your opinion is more a effective IGR?
    A
Archer Igr and Nyguard Igr are both very effective IGRs. The biggest differences between the two is the ability to hold up to sunlight outdoors. Archer is photostable for 14 days where as the NyGuard is photostable for 4-6 months. NyGuard also has a wider range of pests that are covered by its ability to sterilize and inhibit the reproductive cycles.

    Q
Can NyGuard and Gentrol be used at the same time?
Curious if two different IGRs can be used at the same time. Target pest is roaches, various species. I do not intend to mix the two different IGRs together in a single application. I intend to apply separately. I am currently using Gentrol and would like to also use NyGuard one week to one month later. Current program is Gentrol mixed with Bifen to control roaches in a tropical climate.
    A

You could use the Gentrol mixture indoors and the NyGuard mixture outdoors. NyGuard will not break down as easily as Gentrol to UV rays. We also recommend that you bait for the roaches as well. Please see our Roach Control page.

    Q
What insecticide is best to mix with NyGuard for lawns for German roaches?
We have German roaches in our yard from a used piece of furniture sitting on the curb. I am 100% sure they are German. I am using Cyper WSP monthly on the perimeter of the house but want to get rid of them in the yard as much as possible. I would like an insecticide that will last as long as possible in the elements. I would appreciate knowing application rates for both products (the Nyguard IGR and insecticide) and also how often to apply both (either separately or together). Thank you!
    A

Cyzmic CS is a great option for use in your lawn for German roaches. This can be mixed with Nyguard IGR and sprayed at the same time. The mixing rate is 0.4 fl oz per gallon of water. This will last for approximately 30 days outdoors and can be reapplied every 21 days.
