    NyGuard Doesn't Work!

    By Rick on 10/21/2015

I've sprayed my indoor outdoor carpeting twice with double the recommended strength and still have fleas

    Expert Response  Expert response:
We apologize you did not receive the expected results.Fortunately you chose a product that inhibits breeding. Nyguard does not kill fleas at all. It stops immature fleas from reaching sexual maturity which will help stop the population from growing. It is important that you use the Nyguard with an insecticide such as Onslaught or Fenvastar to kill the jumping, biting adults. You should also note that it can take 2-8 weeks to gain control. Please take a few moments to read our How to Treat for Fleas Guide to learn how implement a successful flea control program. Flea elimination will require you to use a mix of insecticide and non-chemical practices to gain control. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. We are always happy to help! http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/how-to-get-rid-of-fleas-a-483.html (Please be sure you follow the product label instructions and do not use more than instructed. Failure to follow these instructions can make treatments less effective and unsafe)

    Professional

    By Twig on 02/18/2017

Expensive, but works. Big difference between this and most (all?) other IGR's is it holds up to direct sunlight. Meaning you get months of residual outdoors, vs days. My company uses it. Primarily for fleas, roaches & mosquitoes. I would recommend it for the DIYer - always read & understand the label.

    Would totally buy this again!

    By John on 08/07/2015

My company recently took over a small apartment complex with a few units having german roaches. We opted for spraying an IGR to begin the process of breaking the life cycles. We debated between Gentrol and Nygard. Not only is Nygard less expensive, its also a wider range IGR for many pests besides roaches and according to the label, can be used outdoors as well. Gentrol is a fine product, and works well, but for my money I prefer Nygard. Would highly recommend!

    Great for mosquitos!

    By Ben on 05/12/2023

I'm pretty happy with Nyguard. I've used it for a couple years now and it really helps. I live next to a swamp, a lake, and a pond and this made my outdoor areas a bit more liveable and night. Consistency is key with this product.

    This Product Works!!!!

    By Marianne on 06/07/2011

I purchased this product as a safer product to control indoor and outdoor insects (mosquitoes, fleas, flies, roaches, ants, etc....). Nothing bothers me inside or outside after 3 months!!! It's a little slow to start, but once you get it applied around your house and inside your house, your problems are over!!! I had continual repeat flea issues from my Welsh Corgi. I treated the inside of the house and also treated the outside areas where she laid. NO MORE FLEAS!!!! And it does wonders in keeping mosquitoes under control, too!!!!

    Fleas!

    By Veronica on 10/27/2017

This product worked exactly as instructed. We made sure to bathe dogs, flea treated them with topical and the pill. Then we sprayed the entire house down. Then came the vacuuming. We vacuumed 3-4 times a day for almost 2 weeks. After the first couple days there were no more adult large fleas. Then we just had small ones. And finally no more. We made sure to bathe the dogs once a week and continue to treat them. *When emptying your vacuum make sure you double bag your dirt! We learned this after the fleas were coming back to get us from the outdoor trash can! It took nearly 2 weeks to be flea free. We spent quite a bit of money on flea bombs, carpet powders, and carpet sprays. I wish I found Nyguard sooner.

    Works fantastic!!

    By Michael on 06/30/2023

used Nygurad IGR and Bifen IT, along with max force roach gel. I live in SC and we have noseemums(small annoying gnats) and palmetto bugs(aka cockroaches). Wehn we moved into our house, we would see the cockroaches all the time. We are super clean and neat, cleaned everything. Used the combo spray in my backpack sprayer and put the gel down and in the shed. After a couple weeks, roaches were basically gone and no bugs around at all. I reapplied a couple months after and I saw one dead roach since then. AMAZING! People said it's impossible to get rid of them. Well after my 3rd application a few months after, haven't seen one roach, dead or alive. Those gnats are completely gone and I can workout out in my outdoor gym, at dusk in the summer and not have one bug near me.
