It is necessary to vacuum after applying NyGuard Plus (or any other flea treatment) because vacuuming pulls fleas and eggs to the surface of carpeting and also provides the stimulation the pupa (immature fleas) need to exit their eggs and expose themselves to the insecticides that have been applied. Please take a moment to look over our Flea Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing this pest.
Unfortunately, there are not really many products on the market that are actually labeled for sarcoptic mites specifically. Steri-Fab is labeled for mites in general and will very likely kill sarcoptic mites. Steri-Fab has an insecticide and an alcohol base. This combination allows for a fast kill of just about any insect that Steri-Fab is sprayed on plus a super fast drying time. Steri-Fab is NOT applied to animals or humans. You should check with your vet and physican for additional recommendations.
NyGuard Plus is not labeled for chiggers. Onslaught would be a better choice for Chigger control.
NyGuard Plus contains the insect growth regulator (IGR) pyriproxyfen along with insecticide, so it is an "all-in-one" product. Precor IGR contains an IGR only and would need to be mixed with an insecticide.
It acts on the immature life stages of insects and prevents those insects from becoming full functioning and reproducing adults. By breaking the reproductive cycle of these insects, NyGuard helps reduce overall insect populations.
The NyGuard Plus is labeled for tick species in general and when used per the label instructions within your home where ticks may be present or would look to hide it will control them as well as any fleas in the area. While its not specifically labeled to control the eggs and nymphs its technology is such that you can effectively get rid of the entire population in the home as long as the proper treatment steps are being taken.

Do not saturate the mattress and do not treat the entire surface area of the mattress. Allow the mattress to dry thoroughly before replacing pillows and/or bed linens.
It would be recommended to turn off the heaters during application of NyGuard Plus to be safe. Once the area has dried you can turn back on.
NyGuard Plus is labeled to be used in some modes of transportation but not cars specifically. It could work but it would take time. Though It would be extremely odd to have carpet beetles in your car because they must have a food source that is of animal origin to survive and most cars do not have such a source.

NyGuard Plus should be applied once every two weeks until the fleas are gone (vacuuming daily). It will take a minimum of two applications (two weeks apart) but may require more applications at these intervals depending on the level of infestation.
Nyguard Plus would not kill carpet beetle eggs. It would only prevent the young that hatch from the eggs from maturing into reproducing adults.
Crossfire has a residual of up to 30 days so we do not suggest applying NyGuard Plus to the same treated areas. The products are also not labeled for the same pests. Crossfire is labeled only for bedbugs and NyGuard Plus is labeled for fleas, carpet beetles, ticks, lice, dust mites and cockroaches. You may want to discuss the treatment with the company that is treating the structure also so that everyone has the same treatment schedule with residual products for the most effective results.
No, NyGuard Plus is not labeled for scabies. Scabies mites live only on/in the skin, and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture, although treating these areas for scabies is usually not necessary as they do not live long off of their host.
Nyguard Plus will prevent the young that hatch from maturing into reproducing adults.
Typically a mask would not be required when applying a product like NyGuard Plus as long as it is being used correctly per label instructions. If you felt a mask was needed you are certainly welcome to wear one if it increases your comfort and safety level when you apply.
NyGuard Plus should be applied after any cleaning is done to the carpet as it can remove the residual.
