    Q
What is the best insecticide treatment for killing scorpions? Indoors and out?
    and earwigs?
    A

Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide will do a great job control scorpions and it is also labeled for earwigs. You will use 1 oz. per gallon of water and spray 1-2 feet up on the foundation and 1-2 feet out on the ground, all around the perimeter of your home. We recommend to spray around door frames, window frames and utility entry points as well. Indoors, you can spray on the baseboards, and cracks and crevices. Along with the insecticide treatment, you need to inspect around your home and implement exclusion techniques to seal any entry points.  Click here for more prevention tips. If the activity appears to be high, you can also implement glue boards such as the Trapper Max Free to help you along with the elimination process.

  • Asked by Darren from Dartmouth Ma

    Q
What is better for foundation spraying, Onslaught or Talstar P?
I just made a purchase for Talstar P and used it to spray the yard and foundation. Does Onslaught Fastcap kill the spiders faster than the Talstar P?
    A

Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide will kill those insects that are sprayed directly faster than just Talstar alone due to the 2 synergists it contains.  It can also last longer on outside surfaces (up to 60-90 days vs 30 days) and is easier for spiders to pick up so that they get a direct hit of active ingredient.

  • Asked by Billy from Mesa,az

    Q
Can Onslaught and Cy-Kick be mixed for better scorpion control?
    A
Onslaught and Cy Kick are not to be mixed together. Not only do the manufacturers not recommend mixing them with any other product, but also, they are both synthetic pyrethroids. This means they are just two slightly different versions of the same base type of ingredient and will not increase the residual of the product or potency and could infact potentially decrease the effectiveness of one ingredient or the other. Also the Onslaught FastCap has an extra ingredient that gives a faster knock down on its own. Both products are mico encapsulated concentrates that sit on the surface better to provide a more thorough control of the insects and to hold up to the outdoor elements better than other insecticides. For scorpion control you need to create a larger barrier than you would for general insects as scorpions have a thick exoskeleton which makes it harder for the product to penetrate into their system. For most bugs like ants, you would spray 2-3 feet up and 2-3 feet out around the foundation of your home. For scorpions, you would spray 2-3 feet up and 6-10 feet out on the ground, around window and door frames, where pipes enter the home, and around any landscaping like rock or mulch which would be prime for harboring. You also want to make sure you are taking non chemical steps and clearing away and brush, rock, or other debris around the home that they could be stemming from. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other quetions.

    Q
Cyper WP vs Onslaught for spider control
My main problem around the house is spiders inside and out. Is which of these products is more effective for spiders?
    A
Each product has its pros and cons. Cyper WP will have a faster kill for spiders and other insects but would need to be reapplied more frequently outdoors and can leave a visible white powdery residue behind. Onslaught has a slower kill but it dries clear and since it is microencapsulted will last longer outdoors. Onslaught also is more versaitile as it can be broadcast sprayed indoor and outdoors for fleaand tick control when needed.

    Q
What is the best way to apply Onslaught FastCap with Nyguard IGR?
For the first spray is it best to use IGR and mix in every 90 days. For perimeter treatment around house and sheds. Onslaught treat every 30 days and add IGR every 90 days. Is this an effective way of doing this for control?
    A
Applying Onslaught FastCap every 30 days and the Nyguard IGR every 90 would be a great program to utilize for perimeter control.  Both are labeled for a broad spectrum of pests.

    Q
The label for Onslaught FastCap says Apply as a course, wet spray to surfaces where these pests are normally found
What do they mean by "course" ? Thanks
    A
A course spray is a type of spray pattern to ensures that the product does not drip when you are spraying. When you are doing a course spray of Onslaught FastCap, if you are spraying indoors, you will spray along the baseboards and cracks and crevices moving consistently around the room. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Is there a product that can be mixed with Onslaught Fastcap for an initial service cleanout?
I am looking for an additive that will work as a flushing agent. We use flushing agents, like Cyonara 9.7, on our initial services(new customers homes) to flush bugs from their nests and harborage areas. Is there something that can be mixed with Onslaught Fastcap to give it this flushing effect so we don't have to use Cyonara 9.7 anymore?
    A
Sure you could mix ExiteR with Onslaught. It provides for a faster knock-down of insect pests.

  • Asked by Carl from West Palm Beach

    Q
Is there a knockdown for Black Widow and Brown Recluse spiders that is pet friendly once dry?
We have a ton of black widow and brown recluse spiders on our porch and are trying to get rid of them, I have sprayed with other insecticides (Talstar P) and Suspend but I was wondering if there is any fast knockdown that I can use, we do have animals out there (dogs and cats) but they can be removed until it dries. The spiders are also located over our pool so I would imagine that some spray will get in there (What happens in that case, how long till the dogs can go in the pool)
    A

A great contact and residual spray for spiders and other more aggressive pests is Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide. Onslaught FastCap has both a fast-acting knockdown and residual activity. If you would like something that is all-natural, then I would suggest Essentria IC3 Insecticide, which does not have restrictions for use around bodies of water.
