    Q
Disappointed in how you are selling Onslaught. Too big a bottle!
You say to mix 1/4 tsp to 12 oz of bait. Get real! How am I going to dispose of this very toxic liquid! I sure hope there aren't people who pour it down a drain or into their yard or let it run into a nearby creek. You need to sell smaller bottles (say, 2 oz) of Onslaught for about $10. I'll bet you get more customers, and - it will be safer and a lot better for the environment.
    A
Unfortunately we have no control over the size of the bottle that the manufacturers make their products in.  Onslaught is a great general use insecticide so it can be used for other pests than just baiting for yellow jackets.  Please refer to the product label for complete information on the uses of this product.

    Q
How quickly will Onslaught Insecticide kill a roach?
    A

Onslaught Insecticide does not kill on contact. The active ingredient releases slowly over time, allowing the pests to pick up the residual and carry it back into wall voids, cracks and crevices, and other spots where they may hide, so that it can be spread further through the population. We do recommend that you also use an IGR (insect growth regulator), such as Gentrol IGR, along with your insecticide to also stop the roaches' reproductive cycle while the insecticide is working to kill the adult population.

    Q
What is the best product that kills all insects for the home, lawn & garden & is pet friendly?
    A
Onslaught Insecticide is a great general pest control product as it is labeled for over 200 insects. It can be applied to indoor cracks and crevices once every 90 days and outside monthly for control. It is safe when dry. Keep pets off the treated area during application and while wet. It should not be applied to anything edible in your garden. Please let us know if you need anything else.

  • Asked by Thomas from Cumberland, Ri
    10/18/2011
    Q
How soon will combination of Onslaught and Gentrol start working on modest indoor flea infestation?
Judging from the label I assume that combination is allowed to be used as a broadcast, correct?
    A
You should see results within 24-48 hours of the application. You will notice that the larger adult fleas are gone but you will continue to see the small immature fleas as they come out of their cocoons. These immature fleas will not be able to reach sexual maturity because of the Gentrol and will eventually succumb to the effects of the Onslaught. You will need to vacuum every square inch of carpet immediately before the application and for every day after the application for about 14 days. After 14 days a repeat application should be made to get rid of any stragglers. You should note that Gentrol IGR cannot be used outside as it is not photostable. If you do need to treat inside as well as outside for fleas you can use Martins IGR mixed with Onslaught and you can purchase them together in our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit.

    Q
How long do I have to wait to wash my kitchen floor after Onslaught has been applied for roach remediation?
    A
You should be able to wash your floor right away as Onslaught is only supposed to be sprayed into cracks and crevices around the door frames, window frames, places where utilities (cables, pipes and wires) enter into the structure and around the baseboards for roach control.

  • Asked by Tom from Ohio
    12/01/2016
    Q
What else can I do for flea control if Onslaught is not working with or without Precor?
I have sprayed the house 4 times with Onslaught (once mixed with Precor) and still getting covered by fleas. The house has no carpet, no animals, no one living in it and after spraying 4 times I still can't get the fleas under control. Please let me know what I should do or use.
    A

First and foremost it's important to make sure to get the insect identified to make sure you really are dealing with fleas. Make sure you are spraying every 14 days, no sooner and no later than that, for best results. Also, even though there's no carpet, make sure you are following up by vacuuming the treated areas or sweeping every day or as often as possible. Use 0.5 oz of Onslaught Insecticide to a gallon of water + an ounce of Precor IGR with each treatment. Another thing that you need to do once you have the insect identified, is treat the yard. Also, have the home inspected for possible dead rodents especially if there is a crawl space. Please read over our How to Get Rid of Fleas article for more tips and information.

    Q
What is your VERY BEST mite control product? Have had moles in yard.
    A
We appreciate your questions. There are many different types of mites. If you have a mite like spider mites, one of our best products for spider mites is Onslaught. Onslaught Liquid Insecticide is micro-encapsulated, meaning that after the product is sprayed, the active ingredient is released slowly over time, producing long-lasting residual control of insect pests. Please review our Mite Control page.

    Q
How to treat a very heavy infestation of fleas on acreage?
We are having our house and small yard treated by a local exterminator for heavy flea infestation. They recommended that we spray our outdoor dog runs, out-yard and barn yard with Archer, Onslaught and Exciter (which we have ordered from you) using our 25 gallon gasoline powered spray rig behind our tractor. Do we mix all three products together, or use them separately?
    A
Onslaught, Archer IGR, and Exciter can all be mixed together following the instructions on each product label for dilution rates.

  • Asked by Emily from Minnesota

    Q
Will Onslaught work for bird mites? Is it safe around baby?
    A

Onslaught is the only product that we have that is labeled for mites in general and is safe when used as directed.  Children should be out of the area while you are doing the treatment until it dries, typically 30 mins to an hour.  Below is our advice on mites:

It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Treatment for say bedbugs is much different than the treatment for bird mites.  Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth Dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good.

    Q
Is Onslaught used full strength or mixed with water or something else?
    A

All of the professional liquid products we sell, including Onslaught, come in a concentrate form.  You need to mix the product with water, usually in a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  Please refer to the product label for more detailed application instructions. Onslaught is mixed at 0.5-1 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft.

  • Asked by Lily from Huber Heights
    06/23/2016
    Q
    Does Onslaught kill chiggers?
If not, do you carry another product that will?
    A

Onslaught is a great product for chigger control. Treatments for chiggers should begin in April/May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkept areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors.

  • Asked by James from Long Beach, Ca
    09/02/2014
    Q
Is Onslaught the best product for killing bird mites in/around sparrow and dove nests?
I have a problem with bird mites in/near my house. Now that nesting season is wrapping up, I want to poison the mites and clean out the nest debris before blocking the areas to prevent future nesting.
    A
We do not recommend treating any bird or dove nests directly. Onslaught can be used in surrounding areas on the property that you would like to treat for this insect and other listed pests. You can apply monthly on the exterior of the structure for control but the nesting sites that are near the structure should be removed to fully eliminate them. The source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs. We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. • Asked by Gretchen from Portland, Or
    01/29/2014
    Q
Just moved to OR and need a good general pest control solution for my home.
Don't care about being "green", just want them dead and out of my house! Have seen a couple of bugs in kitchen and one in the bathroom, I have no idea what they are (bathroom one looked beetle-ish). I have a 16 month old baby and two chihuahuas and need to be able to spray around them.
    A

Without knowing exactly what you are treating for, it is hard for us to make a product recommendation that will fit your specific needs. We do carry a product called Onslaught and it is widely used for general pest control and is labeled for over 200 different insects. You will mix and apply according to the product label instructions when the children and dogs are not in the area. Once it is dried completely, they can re-enter the treated areas. Please read the product label for mixing and application instructions. Please click on the link below for the contact information to your local cooperative extension office for a pest identification.
