    Q
Will Onslaught Insecticide or Fastcap kill chiggers faster? Also, since it only kills on contact, how do we obtain long term control? Will this harm pollinators?
    A

Onslaught Insecticide and Onslaught FastCap will both do a great job for chiggers. Onslaught FastCap would be the faster acting product due to its one of a kind formulation made of Exponent brand synergist, Esfenvalerate, and Prallethrin. This product does not kill on contact. The active ingredients release over time, allowing the pests to pick up the residual and carry it back into wall voids, cracks and crevices, and other spots where they may hide. The product label does state that this product can be highly toxic to bees and other pollinating insects exposed to direct treatment or residues left on blooming crops or weeds. The best way to reduce the chance of the product affecting the bees, butterflies and beneficial insects is to spray later in the day when they are not active and are back in their homes/nests and try to avoid blooms of flowers and plants they would use for pollination.

    Q
Spraying outdoors for flea infestation: do I need to mix anything with Onslaught, and if so, what?
I will be spraying the grounds around our apartment building to rid us of a flea infestation. Should I mix anything (like an IGR) with Onslaught? If so, what works best? Thanks!
    A
You should include an IGR with the Onslaught when you are treating for a flea infestation. We actually offer Onslaught along with an IGR in our Outdoor/Indoor Flea kit for your convenience.

    Q
What should we do if Onslaught was sprayed on our herb garden?
My small herb garden was sprayed by our pest control guy with Onslaught. How long, do we have to wait before using the herbs? (Infinity?) Do they need to be washed, or should I just plow the whole lot under and start over?
    A
We recommend you contact the manufacturer of Onslaught directly for information as there could be several variables they may need to know before they can tell us for sure what needs to be done. You can reach MGK by calling 800-645-6466.

    Q
How do we get rid of chiggers at our cabin in mid LA?
We are in our 70's and can't go outside in the Spring , Summer or Fall with out getting multiple bites even when we are riding a mower. It's an awful infestation.
    A
Onslaught is a great product for chigger control. Treatments for chiggers should begin in April/May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors.

    Q
Your suggestion on best overall non-staining spray for use indoors of most insects, silverfish..etc.
Plan to spray indoors and surrounding perimeter of house quarterly to keep out insects in general. Currently no issues other than a few silverfish the past few weeks. Was looking at Onslaught?
    A
Onslaught has the broadest label for any insecticide and will pretty much kill whatever lands on a treated surface.  If you ever have an issue indoors with fleas or similar pests it would be the choice insecticide as it can be used as a broadcast across carpets.  For general pest control, our most popular product is actually Talstar P, it is a little more cost effective and is the most widely used by professionals.

  • Asked by Kathryn from Rancho Mirage Ca.

    Q
What do I need other than a regular spray bottle to spray Onslaught indoors in a room and in a garage and attic
Plus added IGR such as Ny Guard IGR.
    A
We would recommend using Onslaught Insecticide inside of a gallon pump sprayer. You will mix 0.5-1.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water and spray around the baseboards and cracks and crevices indoors. You will mix with 4 mL of NyGuard IGR inside the same pump sprayer as the Onslaught Insecticide. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Will Onslaught work on "noseeum's" and how do you apply it???
    A
Onslaught is labeled for a wide variety of small flying insects including gnats, midges and other small biting flies and should help reduce the amount of noseeums on your property. Be sure to spray the areas where you have noticed the noseeums landing or resting as Onslaught will only eliminate those insects that land on treated areas. You want to dilute it 1oz per gallon of water.

    Q
Should I get the gas turned off in house before using Onslaught Insecticide?
    A

As long as you are only spraying in the areas specified on the product label, there should be no reason to turn off the natural gas when applying Onslaught.  If applying near units with pilot lights you would need to turn those off.

    Q
How does Onslaught compare to Cyonara?
    A

<span new="" roman;="" font-size:medium"="">Both products are pretty comparable to each other, and which you choose really depends on what you are treating for, as they are both great for general pest control.  Cyonara is labeled to be used as a crack and crevice treatment only when used indoors. You should use Onslaught insecticide if you would like to do a broadcast treatment over the carpeted areas, it is labeled for over 200 different pests whereas as Cyonara does not have such a broad label.  They both can be used in the same areas outside, though Onslaught will hold up a little longer on outside surfaces.

  • Asked by Shawn from Baxley, Ga
    03/24/2016
    Q
How long after I use Onslaught will I see it working on the roaches?
    A

Onslaught is a micro-encapsulated product which means it is a time released formula and can take a little longer to kill insects than other products.  The exact time it takes to kill will depend on several factors, such as the age and health of the roach and how long it spent in contact with a treated surface.  It is often helpful to use a roach bait gel along with an insect growth regulator (IGR) in addition to an insecticide when treating for roaches for complete control.  You may want to take a look at our article on How To Get Rid Of Roaches if you have a moment.
