This tough weed solution kills the toughest woody plants and brushy weeds including stumps and vines. Its distinct formula is top notch for getting rid of poison ivy, poison oak and other problematic weeds on your property. This particular tough weed killer contains Triclopyr and comes in 2 sizes.

Per the manufacturer, after using Ortho Max Poison Ivy & Tough Brush Killer lawns and ornamental flowers, trees or shrubs can be replanted in 6-8 weeks. If you are planning to plant edibles in the area you must wait one year.

Ortho MAX Poison Ivy and Tough Brush Killer Concentrate is mixed at the rate of 4 oz. per gallon per 400 sq. ft. In areas where the brush is very dense, the rate is 4 oz. per gallon per 100 sq. ft.

Ortho MAX Poison Ivy and Tough Brush Killer Concentrate does list dozens of weeds that it controls on the product label. This list does include Japanese honeysuckle, but it does not include wild garlic or mustard. Bonide Poison Ivy and Brush Killer BK-32 will control wild garlic, garlic mustard, honeysuckle, and dozens of other weeds.

Yes. Ortho MAX Poison Ivy and Tough Brush Killer Concentrate should not be used on ornamentals such as peonies.
