I over seeded in early September. Most of seeds look to be sprouted

When would it be safe to apply Barricade to lawn and how many pounds would I need for 2 acres spreading with a Tow behind spreader like the Chapin? Also I need to dethatch badly next year and will be vacuuming up the thatch next year after that. What do you think the best way to do it would be?
