    Q
How much Pendulum do I use per gallon of water?
    A

The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Pendulum? is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. You will need to use 1.3 - 1.8 oz of Pendulum per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 1.3-1.8 oz of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. You will need to make sure treated areas are irrigated with at least 1/2 inch of water (either by rainfall or by sprinkler) following the application.

    Q
Is there a low cost pre-emergent for Japanese stiltgrass and PA smartweed that can be used in a perennial bed?
    A

Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide 2.5 Gallon is labeled for smartweek as is Weed Impede which is a lower cost alternative that can be used around certain established ornamental plantings as listed on the label.  We apologize but are not aware of a pre emergent for Japanese stiltgrass.  Most university studies recommend a product containing the active ingredient of Pendimethalin which is what Pendulum contains but since not specifically labeled for it we cannot recommend it.  Acclaim Extra is a selective post-emergence herbicide that controls annual and perennial grasses around ornamentals listed on the label.

    Q
How long should I wait to plant new ornamental shrubs in an area treated with Pendulum AquaCap ?
    A

Per the product label for Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide 2.5 Gallon: "Plant only those desirable plant species listed on this label into soil treated the previous season with Pendulum AquaCap or injury may occur."

So this means that if you are planting something listed as tolerant on the full product label, you would want to wait at least 4-6 months after the application. For other plants, we recommend waiting one year.

    Q
Can you mix Pendulum and Ranger pro in a 300-gallon tank of water and if so whats mix ratio?
    A

Most herbicides like Ranger Pro and Pendulum Aquacap are able to be mixed with other EPA-registered herbicides.  We recommend that you read and follow the label instructions on preparing a tank mix test to be sure the 2 products are indeed compatible and there is no clumping or separating. It is important to follow the most restrictive label instructions.

    Q
    Is Pendulum AquaCap a concentrate?
Is Pendulum AquaCap a concentrate? If so, what is the mix ratio?
    A

Yes, this product is a concentrate. Depending on what you are treating for, you would use 1.1 - 2.3 fl oz of Pendulum AquaCap Herbicide per 1000 sq ft. This normally would be approximately 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
