Typically you would use the low or mid rate for treating fire ant mounts unless the mounds are greater than 12 inches in diameter per the product label. Mix Rates per one gallon of water: Low:0.5% (1.6 fl oz), Mid:1.0% (3.3 fl oz), High: 2% (6.6 fl oz). If using 2 gallons of water to treat the mounds, you will double the mix rate.
No, Permethrin SFR and Talstar P are both pyrethroid based insecticides that have about the same 3 to 4 week residual outdoors. Therefore, there would be no benefit to mix these two insecticides together in a tank mixture. If you'd like a longer lasting insecticide for outdoor control we recommend that you consider a micro-encapsulated insecticide such as Cy Kick CS or an oil based insecticide such as Demon Max. Cy Kick CS will provide you with a full 90 day killing power outdoors. Please take a few minutes to read over our Mosquito Control Guide for more helpful tips for treating mosquitoes around your home.
Unfortunately, Permethrin SFR 36.8% is not labeled for chiggers. We would recommend Talstar P for that. This would give you lasting control, has no odor, and dries clear
Permethrin SFR 36.8% cannot be applied to clothing. Permethrin SFR 36.8% mixed with Nyguard IGR is safe for children and pets after drying. There is a slight odor, but that dissapates over a short time. In the original wet state, it can irritate skin. That is why we recommend to keep children and pets away until dried. If the treated area were to get wet it does not "reactivate".
No, Permethrin SFR 36.8% cannot be used on any type of edibles.
Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to be used on edibles either.
