Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should not be applied to kitchen counters or on surfaces of the kitchen cabinets. Food-handling surfaces or utensils that may have been contaminated should be washed with soap and water.
There would not be enough product on a roach that has contacted a surface treated with Phantom Insecticide to harm an animal like a dog. Please take a few moments to review our Roach Treatment Guide for more information on how to implement a successful roach control program.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is a crack and crevice treatment insecticide. Indoors, you can use the Phantom to treat around baseboards, window sills, door frames, etc. If you are treating for an active bed bug infestation, then you can use the insecticide every 4 weeks until you can go 30 days without any signs or bites from the bed bugs. Please refer to our Bed Bug Guide on how to properly identify and treat for a bed bug infestation. Keep in mind that Phantom is not for sale to individuals in New York State without a Pest Control Operator's license, but many of our Bed Bug Kits are available to you.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled for scabies. Scabies mites live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture though treating the home is usually not necessary.
Phantom can be used indoors for ants but is limited to cracks and crevices that could be used for entry outdoors such as window frames, and where pipes/wires enter the home. It is not for spraying the perimeter of the homes foundation. Temprid FX would be a more appropriate product for use indoors and out for ants and many other insects around the home and yard. Temprid is pet safe once dry as long as label instructions are followed.
Applying Nyguard Plus over areas treated with Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide could null the nonrepellent factor of the Phantom. You can instead just use the Nyguard IGR or Gentrol IGR in the areas to benefit from using an insect growth regulator. The Nyguard Plus can then be applied the carpets as needed for carpet beetles.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled to treat for lizards and should not be sprayed into any air vents/ducts. You can view our products for lizard control here.
We do not recommned pouring down toilets/interior drains. We recommend discarding the finished solution around the exterior of the structure. If you are disposing of the bottle/concentrate, we recommend checking locally for proper disposal in your area.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide can be applied in a hand held pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. However, it is not labeled for mosquitoes. We suggest using Talstar P. for mosquito control. You will need to use 1 ounce of Talstar P per gallon of water for mosquito control.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should not be applied within 15 ft of citrus trees or inside a greenhouse. Please provide the targeted pest for an alternate recommendation.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not specifically labeled for clothes moths. We recommend treating the cracks and crevices with Temprid FX and apply traps inside.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is a good option for roaches that can be used in an Actisol machine directed into cracks and crevices. It is a non repellent and will help to eliminate a roach colony with a transfer effect.
We are not aware of any known reports of resistance build up to Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide. We will say that sprays alone are not enough to eliminate bed bugs as you cannot use in all the areas you need to treat for them. We would recommend one of our Bed Bug Control Kits. Which kit you choose depends on the number of rooms you need to treat. We also have a great guide here that explains the treatment that should be done.
Yes, Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is labeled to control centipedes.
Once areas treated with Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide have dried completely, people and pets can safely return to treated areas. When applying the product, it is recommended to wear personal protection equipment, such as long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, and safety goggles and a mask. You can find those items in our Basic Safety Kit.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is designed more for cracks and crevices. Not to be broadcast over flooring. You can take warm soapy water to remove any residue from flooring.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is a great product and it will work to control most types of ants. It should be applied around baseboards, door frames, window frames and places where utilities (cables, pipes and wires) enter through the wall as these are the most likely places for the ants to enter/exit. Phantom is a non-repellent insecticide that has a delayed reaction which allows ants time to get back to the colony and spread the product. In essence, the ants will not be able to tell that the product is in place and they will pick it up on the fine hairs all over their body and inadvertently carry it back to the colony where it will knock out the entire colony. Taurus SC Termiticide would be a great choice when spraying for ants around the perimeter of your home. It is a non-repellent insecticide as well. It also has a delayed reaction time and a transfer effect which allows the ants time to get back to the colony and spread it around before they succumb to the effects of the product. These are professional grade products and we are not aware of where you would be able to purchase them locally.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide has a shelf life of only 3-5 years if kept out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. We could not say that a 7 year old bottle would still be effective.
We would recommend one of our roach control kits. You can see the kits by clicking on the link here.
We also have a great article for eliminating them here.
We would not recommend spraying Phantom Termiticide Insecticide around or near your kitchen sink. You should use it along baseboards and in cracks and crevices such as under or behind cabinets. Once the product has dried, it will not reactivate. Avoid mopping the areas treated with the product so the effectiveness is not reduced.
You do not need to leave your home after an application of Phantom when used as directed on the product label. It is only advised that people and pets be out of the treatment area until the product dries.
