WHERE TO USE
Barricade 65WG is a preemergence herbicide that provides residual control of many grass and broadleaf weeds in:
HOW BARRICADE 65WG WORKS
Barricade 65WG controls susceptible weeds by preventing growth and development of newly germinated weed seeds. Weed control is most effective when Barricade 65WG is activated by at least 0.5 inches of rainfall or irrigation or shallow incorporation (1 to 2 inches) before weed seeds germinate and within 14 days following application.
MIXING AND APPLICATION PROCEDURES
MIXING
Barricade 65WG must be mixed thoroughly in the spray tank to ensure uniform application. Follow these steps:
TANK MIXING BARRICADE 65WG
Barricade 65WG may be tank mixed with certain other EPA-registered herbicides to provide a broader spectrum of weed control or to control emerged weeds. Refer to the specific directions for use for tank mix partners, and consult the label(s) of the individual tank mix partner(s) for use rate, application timing, weeds controlled, and specific precautions and/or restrictions. Tank mixes are permitted only in states where the tank mix partner(s) are registered for the application site and the turf and ornamental species listed. When using Barricade 65WG in a tank mixture with other pesticides, observe the most restrictive label limitations and precautions on the labels of the products used.
Before tank mixing with other pesticides not named on this label compatibility must be tested.
MIXING ORDER FOR TANK MIXTURES
Notes: (1) When mixing Barricade 65WG with other components (carrier and partner pesticide products), allow products to completely dissolve between steps. This is key when tank mixing with ester formulations. (2) Maintain agitation throughout the mixing and application of the mixture.
Add the products to the spray tank in the following order:
APPLICATION
Apply Barricade 65WG in a minimum of 20 gals./A (0.5 gal./1,000 sq. ft.) of the carrier (water and/or fluid fertilizer) using a calibrated, low-pressure sprayer with 50-mesh or coarser screens. A broadcast boom or handheld wand designed for herbicide or insecticide application will provide the best results. Select nozzle pressure and gallonage to provide complete coverage.

Unfortunately Barricade 65WG Herbicide does not give a per gallon rate. In order to determine how much water to use, you will need to calibrate your sprayer. Below is a video to assist with that. If you let us know your grass type, we can assist you with how much product to use though.

want to cover aprox 2 acres
Barricade 65WG is specially formulated in a wettable granule for easy and convenient tank mixing with other products. The mix rate will depend on what type of turfgrass you have. There is a chart on pg 10 of he product label that presents the different mix rates. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions before use.
Barricade 65WG Herbicide should be mixed with water as directed on the label; the rate is given in oz per 1000 sq ft and not measured in pounds.
You will need to use 0.185-0.55 oz (1.1 tsp-3.3 tsp) per 1,000 sq ft . To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 0.185-.055 oz (1.1 tsp-3.3 tsp) of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated.Yes, Barricade 65WG Herbicide is safe on cool-season grasses without causing damage or discoloration to the lawn.
Mixing instructions
The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Barricade 65WG Herbicide is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. You will need to use 0.185-0.55 oz per 1,000 sq ft .
