These boxes are very heavy & durable. There a weight inside so they don't move once u place them.

I have been battling mice and rats for about 3 years, with the problem getting increasingly worse. Tried electronic traps which are great but require battery maintenance and Tom Cat type of snap trap but I was terrified the dog would get hurt. The bait station with t-rex trap worked great! Because of the bait station I don't have to worry about the dog. I've trapped about 10 mice and rats and I think (?) I just ridded the yard of the last 2 rats! Pnut butter lured many but the last two were very smart, so tried cutting up slices of banana with the peel still on and that got the last 2. I am a bit of a girly-girl but found the t-rex was easy enough to empty and refill. BTW, you don't HAVE to lock the bait station, I don't have racoons or anything like that in my area, so I just put the lid on it without locking it. I bought three to make sure I had good coverage, two would have probably been fine, I live on a small lot. I'm sure this was a WAY less expensive method to rid rodents than paying someone to come to my house (which is what I almost did).

Had worked with these before. I use a mini-rex and a T-Rex trap in each one with PB+oatmeal mix as bait. Very effective. These arrived on time and under budget.

Recently purchased the Proctecta EVO Express Bait boxes. Same item as the bug guys used with out the $$$$. We can now fill ourselves when needed rather than waiting. Easy to use and maintain. Highly recommend.

I love the fact that there are weights pre-installed on these units. And you have to do is take them out of box install the sticks, and place the bait.

These bait stations were recommended to me as the most effective bait station used by professionals. However, after getting them, I ended up not needing them and was dreading the return shipping cost because it's a 65lb box. DMOPC happily sent me a prepaid return label that reflected *their* cost for shipping, which was a tiny fraction of what I would have paid. They then deducted the postage from my refund. It was quick and easy and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat. You don't often find customer service like this anymore.

Received my 4 bait stations and have them placed around my house. They are very solid and should last a lifetime. They are easy to load and with the added weights nothing is going to drag it off. Very happy with my purchase. Customer service is GREAT!

I have been using a pest control service for the rats we have. I am being charged $90.00 for them to come and refill the bait boxes. I decided I am tired of paying such a high price. I found this vendor online and ordered my own bait and boxes. The order came in quickly and nothing was damaged. The boxes are exactly like the ones the pest control service use! By doing this myself, I will be saving tons of money! Thanks for offering the public, products we can use ourselves.

For the quality these bait stations at DO My Own should cost more because elsewhere they are. They are well constructed with a weighted bottom that animals can not move. Easy to unlock with key but do not need a key to lock which is nice. With the size of these bait stations easy access for mice and all sizes of rats which can be large. But with the design other animals can not enter like our wild rabbits we have. We bought 2 and was a good investment because of quality. If you have a rodent problem, buy this one.

I had a mouse infestation when we moved in and tried to solve it through bait stations around the inside of the house but that wasn't working all that well. Plus the mice would tend to die inside the walls and it stunk the place up for a couple of weeks each time one died. I placed several of these bait stations around the outside of the house and my metal building figuring that I'd catch them before they had a chance to come in. It worked! I had to fill the stations up on a fairly regular basis at the beginning but I've seemed to make a dent in the mouse population as I haven't had any inside activity for a long time. I had to buy another station as the raccoons also love the bait blocks and they hauled one of the stations off into the woods and I never found it again (raccoons are stronger than they look!). I've since started chaining the stations down which works. Also, these work great with the JT Eaton Bait Blocks - I can put eight blocks on the little posts inside.

Better than expected. Each comes with a key, and you get a starter key to get into the first station. Holds the bait upright perfectly. The weight with the concrete bottom is perfect for keeping the critters from dragging away. Good quality.

These bait stations are easy to use with no extra trouble. Like the cinder blocks to keep them in place but, still have the versatility to move if necessary. Safe to place where children and pets are unless your kids try to eat the entire box.

I ordered four of these and they come with no instructions. Instead this company wants you to watch a video on their website and the only way I knew this was to contact them. When they were delivered they required a key to open them. I had no key so I was instructed by their customer service to reach into the small hole on the side so I could get a key. I have large hands and my wife had a hard time getting her hand in enough to pull the plastic package out that contains the key and the metal rods to mount the bait. Once we got them open I had to watch another video to see how to mount the rods to use the bait they sent me. I've only had them outside for a week so I don't know how well they are working.

Purchased a case of 6 traps along with a 4lb pail of poison blocks. All arrived in fully in tact with all parts ( bait rods and keys ) for each station. Concrete weights inside were also fully intact as well. I put the bait stations around the outside of our home where we've seen signs of high activity. It's been 3 weeks since they arrived and I've seen activity within the stations each week. We and the family dog have found dead rats and deer mice each week. Although the activity within the stations have decreased week after week so I can say without a doubt that the stations are doing their job and I am satisfied. I highly recommend these stations.

I have had several of the old Protecta boxes for years and felt all I was doing was feeding the raccoons. The new EVO boxes are great, the raccoons can't reach in and pull the baits out. They are heavy enough that the raccoons can't fling them around like the old ones. I have already seen rodents chewing the baits. I will be ordering 4 more of the EVO boxes!

I bought a case of the Protecta Evo Express Bait stations and love them. Big and heavy, holding two TRex Rat Traps easily without triggering the traps when closing the lid. These are like what the pros use. These EVO Express stations are nicely weighted and will not budge easily. I previously had purchased a case of the Protecta EVO Ambush Bait Stations and I do like those, but had to be extra careful closing the lid to not trip the single TRex trap - plus they were light and occasionally disappeared! I assume it was raccoons taking my catch - my neighbors usually found them and returned them. Yeah - now I have twelve stations around the house and fence, catching the rats outside before they get inside.

I was having a problem with mice, and would see droppings or food stashes all around the house. I finally called an exterminator who set 20 or so traps in the house, and then put 5 EVO Bait Stations around. After 3 days, all they caught was 2 mice in the attic access. The exterminator wanted a minimum 1-year contract, $40/month to check the boxes every 4 weeks. I went online, and found DoMyOwn.com had the exact boxes and bait, and it would pay for itself in less than 4 months of using the exterminator. Set up was simple (I did watch the exterminator the first time he checked them). It's been 3 weeks now, and I have not seen one single dropping around the house. I liked it so much, I got 2 of them for my sister for a Christmas present! I have found some slugs in one of the boxes eating the bait, but your customer service quickly responded back to me with solutions. So glad I found this company - I'll probably be looking this summer for some answers to ants if they come back again.

I like this design because you can put a Tom Cat rat trap in with the Contrac bait. I bought 6 of these when I fired my exterminator, and deployed 2 in the basement. Checked them for the first time today and had 2 big dead rats in them. Putting out the others today. Gave the unit 4 stars because one had a poorly molded "hinge" on the cover. Best solution for my situation so far and I have tried others.

Less than 24 hours after outdoor placement I opened to check baits. Activity already noted. Perfect for needs. Pretty much rain proof. Weighted so varmints can't carry anything off. Simple 1 key operation. Came with extra key. I have it in shaded area against a building. It hasn't been out long so UV resistance is unknown.

I bought this box to add to the boxes that had already been placed by a company around my home. This is the exact same product that the nationally known professional company uses as a rodent bait station. It is heavy enough that you do not need to weigh it down in any way. I've had mine out for a few months now and they are tough and stay put. I wish I had known enough to buy this exact product along with Contrac rodent (which is exactly the poison that they use )poison and I could be doing all of my own extermination now. However I'm pretty sure I signed a contract with the company and I am now on the hook for $90 every two months to the company for about another nine months.

I've been placing these around our farm property for over 2 years. We have at least 12 of them. They are pet and child proof and the bait stays dry. They come with bricks in them so raccoons can't flip them over. I just placed a new one by our chicken coup with a tarp covering soil and had 3 dead mice a few days later. We have outdoor furniture with cushions and the mice would eat the material until we started placing these stations around. They are a must have around your house and barns, etc. We also no longer have mice in our attack, either. They are a must have. I now notice these stations around restaurants and storage units, everywhere.
