While the PT Ultracide Product Label does allow for reapplications earlier than every 14 days, spraying more frequently will not typically get rid of the problem faster. There are egg cycles that have to hatch that will not all happen at once, and the Ultracide is a residual so its still on the surface for months after each application. You just treat every 14 days for an active flea problem vs every 6 months for prevention. You wouldn't have to do a full furniture move around every day, but doing a good thorough vacuuming before each treatment in that manner is always helpful. In between treatments the normal floor areas you would vacuum are fine. The first spray treatment is primarily for knock down of the initial population and starting the residual control. Your follow up treatment at the 14 day mark would reinforce the original residual barrier you applied and help continue to knock down the population as you vacuum and treat. Often you will see the flea problem gone after the end of 2 treatments 2 weeks apart, but every home and situation is going to be slightly different. Feel free to review our guide on How To Get Rid of Fleas for more tips on treating.

Yes. Ultracide is formulated to be used on carpets in homes where the manufacturer knew people would walk with bare feet, children would sit and play and pets would rest. As long as you follow the product label and allow the treated areas to dry before walking on them there will be no issues.
It is not recommended to use PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide on mattresses, blankets, or sheets. We recommend that you remove all linens and wash and dry on high heat to kill any existing fleas. While they are being laundered, we recommend spraying your mattress and box spring with SteriFab giving time to completely dry before applying your linens back on the bed. We suggest that you have pets treated for fleas by your vet. Ultracide is great for indoor flea treatments on carpeted, hard-surface floors and furniture. We recommend vacuuming prior to the application and each day for 14 days. On the 14th day, you will vacuum and treat with a second application of Ultracide and vacuum for an additional 14 days. After vacuuming each day, replace with a new bag or empty the canister (if bagless) in a trash bag outside of the home.

PT Ultracide - 20 oz. can stain hardwood floors. We would recommend to broadcast over rugs, carpets, cracks, crevices, and where pets spend most of their time. Be sure to vacuum daily if possible and discard of contents outdoors.
Ultracide should not be applied to hardwood floors as it is possible the product could stain the finish.
PT Ultracide is not labeled for bed bugs. We would recommend Bedlam Aerosol Insecticide for a bed bug issue. We also recommend you check out our Bed Bug Kits, which include the Bedlam. It is usually necessary to treat bed bugs with more than one type of product to completely eliminate them.
You should have children and pets in another room while you are treating with PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide. After treatment allow 30 minutes- 1 hour to dry and then it is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the room.
It is recommended to vacuum 2-3 times a week during flea treatments because the vibrations help the flea eggs to hatch sooner and come into contact with the insecticide or dust treatment. Even having concrete or wood flooring, vacuuming is still recommended following the application of PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide as the vibrations will travel across the floor to help stimulate eggs. Repeat treatments for fleas should be done every 2 weeks.
Each 14 oz can of PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide will cover approximately 1,837 sq ft.
