Slow Kill
By Paul on 08/17/2011
I obtained this product to avoid the high cost of Round-Up. I needed to kill about 3000 square feet of St.Augustine Grass before applying mulch. Although this product is considerably less expensive, it is painfully slow as to the rate of kill. I expected to have to re-spray , but not to have to wait 4-5 days to see where kill had taken place. If you are in a hurry, get something else. As it is I have had to respray 3 times to get complete kill. Still it was cheaper than round-up so if your labor cost is free and you have patience,OK.

Really slow
By Ken on 01/29/2014
I applied this to the weeds growing in my crushed rock yard about 10 days ago. I'm just starting to see some wilting. I actually used slightly more per gallon than it called for to get the ratio the same as Roundup. I'll be contacting DoMyOwnPestControl if they don't die soon!

Not impressed, I have doubled the amount and still don't see any results.
Expert response:
Good afternoon,
Ranger Pro moves through the plant from the point of foliage contact to and into the root system. Visible effects are a gradual wilting and yellowing of the plant, which advances to complete browning of above ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts. Effects are visible on most annual weeds within 2 to 4 days, but on most perennial weeds, effects may not be visible for 7 days or more. Extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow activity of this product and delay development of visual symptoms. The amount of Ranger Pro Herbicide you will use per gallon of water will vary from 2/3 fl oz - 13 fl oz per gallon of water depending on what type of plant you are trying to eliminate.May we ask what your targets weed were? There are some weeds even glyphosate and non selective products are unable to kill.
Best Regards,
